KTM Launches Export-Spec 390 Enduro R in India at ₹3.54 Lakh

Austrian motorcycle maker KTM has expanded its Indian lineup by introducing two new motorcycles. Among them is the export-spec KTM 390 Enduro R, launched in response to feedback from enthusiasts who were disappointed by the reduced suspension travel on the Indian version.

Why an Export-Spec Version?

Earlier, KTM’s parent company Bajaj reduced the suspension travel on the Indian-spec 390 Enduro R to 200mm at the front and 205mm at the rear. Although this was considered sufficient for regular off-roading, riders and off-road purists longed for the full-spec version. The company has now answered by launching the export-spec model for just ₹15,000 more, priced at ₹3.54 lakh (ex-showroom).

Key Highlights of the Export-Spec 390 Enduro R

  • Suspension Travel: Around 230mm at both front and rear, compared to 200/205mm in the Indian version.
  • Increased Seat Height: Up by 35mm to 895mm.
  • Improved Ground Clearance: Increased from 253mm to 277mm.
  • Shared Platform: Based on the same platform and engine as the KTM 390 Adventure.
  • Design: Compact 9-litre fuel tank and slim TFT display with dirt bike-inspired styling.

Despite these changes, the export-spec Enduro R continues to use the familiar 399cc single-cylinder engine producing approximately 46 hp and 39 Nm of torque.
