Rolls-Royce has officially launched the Spectre Black Badge in India, priced at ₹9.5 crore (ex-showroom, excluding options). Bookings for the high-performance electric coupe are now open at the brand’s exclusive showrooms in Chennai and New Delhi.
Unveiled globally in February 2025, the Spectre Black Badge is the most powerful model Rolls-Royce has ever produced. Powered by a dual-motor electric drivetrain, it delivers an impressive 659hp and 1,075Nm of torque—a significant upgrade over the standard Spectre EV, which offers 585hp and 900Nm. The standard model was launched in India earlier this year at ₹7.62 crore, making the Black Badge version ₹1.88 crore more expensive.
Performance & Range
Thanks to its enhanced powertrain, the Spectre Black Badge accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, shaving 0.4 seconds off the standard version’s time. Despite its increased performance, the vehicle retains the same 102kWh battery pack, offering a WLTP-certified range of up to 530 km.
To handle the extra power, Rolls-Royce has fine-tuned the chassis, steering, and roll stabilization system, all while maintaining the brand’s signature ride comfort.
Design & Features
Visually, the Black Badge treatment gives the Spectre a darker, more aggressive look. Key exterior elements such as the grille, door handles, badges, and the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament are finished in black. The car rides on distinctive 23-inch forged aluminum wheels and introduces a striking Vapour Violet paint option—one of 44,000 possible colour choices. Customers can also request fully bespoke finishes through Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke division.
Inside the cabin, the Spectre Black Badge exudes modern luxury. The standout feature is the Illuminated Fascia embedded with over 5,500 star-like lights set against a piano black dashboard. The digital driver’s display offers five vivid theme options: Vivid Grellow, Neon Nights, Cyan Fire, Ultraviolet, and Synth Wave. The interior is adorned with carbon fibre and metal accents, adding to its premium feel.
Personalisation & Options
Further customisation is available, including illuminated grilles and door sills in colours like Tailored Purple, Charles Blue, Chartreuse, and Forge Yellow. The Spirit of Ecstasy ornament also gets the signature Black Badge treatment.
With the introduction of the Spectre Black Badge, Rolls-Royce continues to redefine electric luxury and performance in India. The model not only sets new benchmarks for EV sophistication but also strengthens the brand’s appeal among elite buyers seeking bespoke craftsmanship and high performance.
