2025 TVS Apache RTR 160 Launched at ₹1.34 Lakh with New Features
TVS Motor Company, one of India’s leading manufacturers of two- and three-wheelers, has launched the latest version of its popular Apache RTR 160. As the most affordable model in TVS’s Apache lineup, the RTR 160 continues to attract significant showroom traffic. With this update, TVS aims to keep the model fresh and further strengthen its appeal among buyers.
An Entry into the Apache Family
The Apache RTR 160 serves as the entry point into TVS’s acclaimed Apache RTR range of sporty street motorcycles. Despite its design having been around for a while, the motorcycle still looks modern and competitive. TVS has retained this design for the 2025 update—a deliberate choice that aligns with its strong market presence.
The new 2025 Apache RTR 160 is priced from ₹1.34 lakh (ex-showroom), which is approximately ₹4,000 more than the previous top-spec 2024 model. Buyers can choose between two new color options: Matte Black and Pearl White—both featuring eye-catching red alloy wheels as standard.
Key Updates and Features
In what TVS calls its “boldest version yet,” the 2025 Apache RTR 160 now comes equipped with dual-channel ABS for the first time, enhancing rider safety. While enthusiasts might have hoped for upside-down (USD) front forks, the bike retains its predecessor’s setup: RSU telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.
A major highlight of this update is the BS6 Phase 2 OBD2B-compliant powertrain. According to TVS, it makes the new Apache RTR 160 the most powerful 160cc motorcycle in India. The bike uses a 159.7cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 16.04 PS of peak power and 13.85 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Feature-wise, the RTR 160 continues to offer an LED headlamp with striking LED DRLs and a fully digital instrument cluster displaying comprehensive ride information. Higher variants also get Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
